Jacqueline Rosenthal, MD

Dr. Jacqueline Rosenthal is a neurologist at the Andrew C. Carlos MS institute at Shepherd Center in Atlanta, GA. She is a graduate of Morehouse School of Medicine and completed her neurology residency at Madigan Army Medical Center. After completing residency, she practiced general neurology at Martin Army Community Hospital, and it was during this time that she developed a special interest in patients with multiple sclerosis and other neuroimmunologic conditions.

After separating from the U.S. Army she completed a neuroimmunology fellowship at the Atlanta VA Medical Center and Emory MS Clinic during which time her primary research centered around the examination of neurodegenerative biomarkers of cognitive dysfunction in patients with multiple sclerosis. 

Dr. Rosenthal joined Shepherd Center’s medical staff in July 2019.  She participates actively in clinical research and has worked with various MS committees and workgroups to further MS education and increase awareness. Outside of patient care and clinical research activities, she enjoys spending time with her husband and two young sons.

Diana Andino, MD

Dr. Diana Andino, MD is a neurologist, clinical instructor and fellow at UT Health Austin’s Multiple Sclerosis and Neuroimmunology Center within the Mulva Clinic for the Neurosciences. Currently, she is completing fellowship training to specialize in caring for patients with multiple sclerosis, neuromyelitis optical, and other neuroinflammatory conditions of the central nervous system.

Growing up as an immigrant in Houston, Texas, she witnessed health care challenges and the lack of specialty care physicians that focus on diseases like multiple sclerosis. Dr. Andino has a grave interest in improving access to care for underserved patients with neurological conditions across the state, especially those affected by multiple sclerosis.

While working at UT Health Austin, she has learned more about social determinants of health and how it affects access to care and outcomes in this population. In the first few months at UT Health, Andino was already invited to be a member of the Multiple Sclerosis Association of America (MSAA) Hispanic/Latinx Advisory Board and the Graduate Medical Education Council Diversity Subcommittee at UT Health Austin Dell Medical Center.

Annette Okai, MD, FAAN
Director of Neuroimmunology & Multiple Sclerosis Research North Texas Institute of Neurology and Headache
Dr. Annette Okai is fellowship trained in Multiple Sclerosis. She is the Director of Clinical Neuroimmunology and Multiple Sclerosis Research at North Texas Institute of Neurology and Headache in Plano, TX and Clinical Associate Professor of Neurology at Texas Tech University Health Science Center. Dr. Okai is Fellow of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology.

In addition to her clinical practice, she is actively engaged in multiple clinical trials in Multiple Sclerosis and is published in several neurological journals. She serves on the MS Association of America Health Care Advisory Committee

She is a graduate of MCP Hahnemann School of Medicine (now Drexel School of Medicine) in Philadelphia. She completed her neurology residency at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital. Dr. Okai was the recipient of the National MS Society fellowship award and a fellowship grant from the National Institutes of Health. She completed a two-year fellowship in clinical neuroimmunology at Thomas Jefferson University Hospital and a graduate certificate in public health.
