Course Overview

Women account for more than 20% of new HIV infections. Half of these women are Black, highlighting a serious health gap. Contributing to this gap is that PrEP is drastically under-prescribed for Black and Hispanic individuals despite its 99% effectiveness.

We can address these gaps by providing guideline-directed care. Join our free CME/CE webinar to provide better HIV prevention and care for women. Key topics include:

  • Supporting women through screening, prevention, and treatment of HIV
  • Implementing cultural humility – how to initiate discussions about sexual health, build trust, and reduce disparities based on race, ethnicity, and gender identity.
  • PrEP for women – safety, eligibility, and integration with family planning.
  • Our partnership with Black hair stylists - what we’re doing to address disparities in HIV testing and care.
