Target Audience
This activity is intended for physicians, physician assistants and associates, registered nurses, and nurse practitioners who care for patients with influenza in urgent care and convenient care settings.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
- Describe indications of antiviral medications that prevent and treat influenza.
- Describe the effects of inappropriate antibiotic prescribing and strategies to reduce this overuse.
- Assess the benefits of antiviral medications for prevention and treatment of influenza, particularly for children.
