PrEP (pre-exposure prophylaxis) is a once-daily pill or long-acting injection that lowers your chance of getting HIV through sex - by 99% -or by injection drug use.

PrEP is safe, effective, and covered by most insurance plans, including Medicaid.

If your HIV test is negative and you think you might be at risk of future exposure to HIV – or if you have had other sexually transmitted infections - PrEP could be right for you.
